I just signed up for advertising on http://www.designformankind.com/ and http://blanketmagazine.com/ they’re doing a joint ad deal for a mere $20.

I selected this little guy as my ad photo.

it’s coming together.

The squares are cut, I just have to cut the border fabric and then start sewing – last week you couldn’t pay me to sew, and this week, wheee! I’m all a flitter about sewing. Egads! So fickle!

Trust me. These really do look great together.
I haven’t felt like creating anything lately. No sewing, no drawings of things to be sewn, apparently all my creative brain power is being used up with writing catslye.wordpress.com or maybe it just wasn’t there to begin with??? Noooooooooo. That’s not it. Maybe it’s because after Squam everything in life in comparison was so dull and uninteresting because Squam is so Squamishly great? Or maybe it’s be cause I’ve been busy working at Luci’s, buying a new (used) car, selling my Honda, spending quality time with the folks at the DMV (yep, ordered VANITY plates, yes I did) or rather the MVD – because Arizona must always be different – Motor Vehicles Department ya know. Or maybe it’s because I’m tired because it’s so freaking hot here and the heat (I’m not complaining really – I’d rather have heat than snow, at least we don’t have to MOVE it), sucks the life out of you? Or…I’m all sewn out?
What if that’s the case, no more sewing? Really? Am I? I dunno, I have an itch to make a baby blanket quilt, know anyone that’s having a baby that needs a little quilt? Nominate a baby and I’ll get to work this weekend.

I bought this fab fabric at Mainely Sewing – 1/2 yard and am now kicking myself that I didn’t buy more. I’m going to make myself a new GoodyBag. Whee!

Again, Squam was great. Can I do this every month? For like Reals? mmmh…

Teaching is fantastic, I love it. I love connecting with my students and helping them achieve their visions. Really, that’s what it’s all about. Giving them the tools to make what they want to make. Like last fall’s Squam, I had fabulous students, who A. thought I was funny and B. thought I was great. THEY were great and I loved them.

This Squam, my sister and nephew came with me, which was a very special treat for me. At the end of each day’s teaching I got to kick back and hang out with my best sis and boy, plus spend a little time with a bottle of wine.

I was one of three winning names pulled from a hat. I won these fabulous books from Craftside! Thank you Mary!
