GoodyBags in Barkcloth

I have so much fabric, SO MUCH (hey, I’m not complaining, I’m merely stating a FACT). I have so much fabric, very little of it is anything I don’t care for, so why must I continue to buy new? No more. At least for a month, or longer, as long as I can bear to buy none. I so strongly believe in REUSING REDUCING and RECYCLING, specially the first two, if you simply reuse something you don’t have to buy new and then find yourself with yet another object in the house. So. Taking my own advice, I’m working on only making new with fabric I already own. You should do the same! :) I’ll keep tabs on myself here.

Over this past weekend I made these new bags using the barkcloth I have and love…the orange geometric and the green/orange mod are both vintage mid-century modern, the coin purse in maroon with the bird of paradise on the back I believe is less old.  All the same, who doesn’t love barkcloth?

These items are available in my Etsy shop.

Little bags of cuteness. Fab! The reusing fabric is a great idea too, especially since Vintage is still so trendy.
