Why did my camera decide to get sick today? Why is everything I’m touching going haywire? Is it really all that coffee AND the Excedrin Migraine pills I had? All that caffiene is making me shoot electrodes out my fingertips? WTF! So, great. Ok. Broken camera or not…Let’s move on. Had to pull out the old Canon to take this shot.
The following shot is a mere glimpse…did I say GLIMPSE? I did. I certainly did. A mere glimpse of the goodies I acquired in Paris. We went to thrift stores, I’m not telling exactly where, cuz you’ll all go there and then by the time I go back, the places will be picked clean! And then one day – on May 1st, which is France’s Labor Day – we went outside of Paris to a little village where the entire village was having a massive garage sale, some 600+ stalls…we shopped for 5 hours, and found amazing stuff. And then one day we went way out to the biggest Emmaus - they were having a bit of a shindig that day – I swear I’ve never heard so many competing radios blaring in one space at one time, I thought I was going to lose my mind – but the fantastic things I found! Most of the vintage goodies I’ll be selling in my etsy shop, some I’ll be keeping – some of the vintage buttons will be used on my new bag designs…yea, right after I finish processing my trip pics (847!) and catching up on client work!
Shown here…red celluloid buttons, bakelite-esque – possibly Galalith – necklace in mustard color, chestnut bracelet, fabric and terrine with lid in cream. (Two sites with info on testing for bakelite – 1 – 2)
I’m keeping the fabric and will be using it in new bag creations, the rest I’m selling.

oh hhhhh I want to see it all ALL and do I have a story for you about caffeine– omg– I will likely post it one of these days, or not– so rambling and incoherent am I these days
