I need a sleeping mask for my trip, I think it’ll help tremendously on the plane…I went online looking for a pattern and was thrilled to find this one on Burda Style, you can get yours here.
Here’s how I made mine…I used soft flannel for the exterior that touches your face, elastic instead of a ribbon, as I’ll mostly be using it sitting in a plane seat, I didn’t want a knot at the back of my head, and too elastic is more secure, I put a layer of cotton batting on the inside for blocking light and the exterior front in cute red cotton.

so when do you reveal the location
karin! aren’t you in fabulous Costa Rica? or did you go and return already?!
oh! it’s so easy where I’m going! …still don’t have my tix yet!
Dont work to hard, buy one!
but, that’s the whole point – making it myself!
hard or not, I’d rather figure it out and DIY it!
This is brilliant, we have really light curtains in our bedroom so the sun is always coming in and waking us up. Will make some of these later, thanks for the tutorial
absolutely! glad it will be useful. thank you!
Thanks for this! It helped to have the visuals about how to lay out the fabric so when I turned it out things were in the right order! Thanks again for sharing.
